Who
Marketing teams, brand operators, or automation builders who need consistent LinkedIn and Facebook content output
You get
After submitting one brand brief, auto-generate 6 social posts for next week (3 LinkedIn professional + 3 Facebook community-focused) with images, posting dates, and scheduled publishing
You need
n8n · perplexity · slack · google-sheets · google-drive · replicate

Constraints

Prerequisites: n8n instance (self-hosted or enterprise recommended); API keys and OAuth2 credentials for OpenRouter (GPT-5 Mini), Replicate (Google Imagen-4 Ultra / NanoBanana), Slack (bot + channel permissions), Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Late API (getlate.dev); optional Perplexity API for research enhancement. Costs depend on actual usage of each service.

What they did

Author didac-fg published a 63-node public template on n8n that collects 10 brand variables via form, drives the Nova AI Agent to generate 6 social media posts with images (3 LinkedIn professional + 3 Facebook community-focused), sends them through Slack human approval, archives to Google Drive/Sheets, and schedules via Late API.

How it went

The template demonstrates a complete automation chain including structured JSON output, platform routing, Imagen-4 image generation, NanoBanana feedback-based image editing, per-item approval loops, and multi-platform scheduling. The author reports it can generate a full week of content from a single brand brief (author_report).

Worth knowing

1) The template requires many external service credentials (6 credential types); verify each before building. 2) Late API accountId must be replaced with real social account IDs or scheduling will fail. 3) NanoBanana image editing depends on the Slack feedback field; empty feedback may cause errors. 4) Timezone is hardcoded to CST; adjust for other regions. 5) This site has not imported or run the workflow; reproduction=not_tested. 6) The models array is empty in source (openai/gpt-5-mini is called via OpenRouter, not declared as a direct model).

Use “Import from File” in n8n, or copy the JSON and paste it into the editor. Connect your own accounts, then try test data. The template is inactive by default.

Setup and test checklist

Credentials to connect

  • OpenRouter Chat Model2 node: connect openRouterApi credentials.
  • OpenRouter Chat Model3 node: connect openRouterApi credentials.
  • Message a model in Perplexity1 node: connect Perplexity API credentials.
  • Send message and wait for response2 node: connect Slack OAuth2 credentials.
  • Append or update row in sheet8 node: connect Google Sheets OAuth2 credentials.
  • Edit Image Nano Banana2 node: connect HTTP Header Auth credentials.
  • Upload file node: connect Google Drive OAuth2 credentials.
  • Send message and wait for response node: connect Slack OAuth2 credentials.
  • Edit Image Nano Banana node: connect HTTP Header Auth credentials.
  • Upload file1 node: connect Google Drive OAuth2 credentials.
  • Image Generation node: connect HTTP Header Auth credentials.
  • Image Generation 2 node: connect HTTP Header Auth credentials.
  • Append or update row in sheet node: connect Google Sheets OAuth2 credentials.
  • Schedule Post node: connect HTTP Header Auth credentials.
  • Schedule Post1 node: connect HTTP Header Auth credentials.

Configuration to replace

  • Source template is n8n public workflow #8398 (~63 nodes). Keep inactive after import; verify triggers, expressions and external API endpoints.
  • Sticky-note guidance is informational; replace placeholders with your own accounts, sheet schemas or channel IDs.

Test input and expected output

  • Manually run the main path once in a test workspace and confirm credentialed nodes authenticate without errors.
  • Drive one synthetic/redacted sample through and check output fields and downstream writes before enabling in production.

Template changes

  • Author credential bindings, webhookId and execution data are removed; the workflow is inactive. Nodes, connections and original prompts are preserved. Not run-tested in n8n.
  • No business-logic edits; verify keys, quotas and privacy compliance before use.

Steps

  1. Configure the form trigger and brand variables

After importing the template into n8n, locate the 'On form submission' node and configure the form title plus 10 fields: BRAND_NAME, INDUSTRY, TARGET_DEMOGRAPHICS, TARGET_LOCATION, PRIMARY_VALUE_PROPOSITION, CUSTOMER_CHALLENGE, DESIRED_OUTCOME, BRAND_VOICE, SPECIFIC_TOPICS_TO_FOCUS, COMPANY_WEBSITE. Set the webhook URL and test a submission to confirm data flows into the 'Edit Fields' node.

  2. Connect AI services and models

Enter your openRouterApi credentials in both OpenRouter Chat Model2 and OpenRouter Chat Model3 nodes, keeping the model as openai/gpt-5-mini. For research enhancement, configure perplexityApi in the Perplexity node with the sonar model. The Simple Memory node can use a custom sessionKey for context retention.

  3. Set up the Slack human-approval workflow

In both 'Send message and wait' Slack nodes, configure slackOAuth2Api credentials and update the channelId to your approval channel. The approval form includes: Approval (radio: Approved/Review), Feedback (text), and Merge with this file (file). If Approved, the workflow continues to publishing; if Review, it triggers NanoBanana image regeneration.

  4. Configure storage and publishing scheduling

Google Drive node: configure googleDriveOAuth2Api and update the folderId for asset archiving. Google Sheets node: configure googleSheetsOAuth2Api and update the spreadsheetId and sheetName. Late API node: obtain an API key from getlate.dev and add it to httpHeaderAuth, then replace the accountId in both Schedule Post nodes with your actual social platform account IDs.

  5. Customize Nova content strategy and test

Modify the brand persona, visual style requirements, or output format in the AI Agent2 node's systemMessage; adjust the execution timeframe or constraints in the parameters.text field. Test the full workflow with sample data first, verifying JSON output, image generation, Slack messages, Sheets writes, and Late scheduling before production use.
