Worth knowing

1) The template defaults to Gemini, but node notes indicate it can be swapped for OpenAI GPT or another model. 2) Google Calendar nodes contain a hard-coded [email protected] that must be replaced with a real calendar address. 3) WhatsApp Business API requires a Meta developer account and permanent token, and is subject to Meta messaging charges and policies. 4) The workflow processes one user at a time with no concurrency controls described. 5) No runtime error rates or ROI data are provided by the source. 6) Not tested by this site; reproduction.status=not_tested.

Steps

  1. Configure WhatsApp trigger and response

    In Meta for Developers, create or select an app, add the WhatsApp product, and note the Phone Number ID, WhatsApp Business Account ID, and permanent Access Token. In n8n, open the WhatsApp Trigger node, create new credentials with App ID, App Secret, and Access Token; copy the webhook URL shown in the node and paste it into Meta’s webhook configuration, subscribing to the messages field. The Send WhatsApp Response node reuses the same credentials; set Sender Phone Number to the Phone Number ID from Step 1.

  2. Configure Google services OAuth2

    Enable the Gmail API and Google Calendar API in Google Cloud Console. In n8n, open any Gmail tool node and create OAuth2 credentials following the wizard, then authorize your Gmail account. Repeat for the Google Calendar tool nodes, selecting the target calendar from the dropdown (replace the default [email protected]).

  3. Configure Gemini model credentials

    Go to Google AI Studio and create an API Key. In n8n, open the Google Gemini Chat Model node, create a new googlePalmApi credential, and paste the key.

  4. Safety tip: human confirmation before action

  5. Activate and test the workflow
