Constraints
Prerequisites: accounts for Grok Bot and Notion, with integration connectivity between them. Create a kanban board in Notion and add a 'Ready for Emma' status column. Share board access with the Emma bot. Actual cost conditions unknown.
What they did
Author melvindvivas connected a Grok Bot named Emma (chief of staff bot) to Notion and asked Emma to create a shared kanban board. The author dumps ideas into the board and drags tasks to a 'Ready for Emma' column when ready to start. Emma checks the board every 15 minutes, picks up tasks from that column, delegates them to a specialized bot, and updates status and results in Notion.
How it went
The author stated they are still observing whether the workflow works out ('Will see if this workflow works out'). No success or failure results were reported at the time of posting. (author_report)
Worth knowing
The source does not provide specifics on how Grok Bot connects to Notion (OAuth, API, or built-in integration), nor how the specialized bot is created and configured. This case is currently the author's proposed workflow; outcomes have not been verified. Not tested by this site.
Steps
Create the Notion board
Create a new kanban Board in Notion and share it with Emma (the chief of staff bot). The board needs at least two columns: one for raw ideas/dump, and one named 'Ready for Emma' as the trigger column.
Connect Grok Bot and grant permissions
Connect the Grok Bot (Emma) to this Notion workspace so Emma can read the board, move cards, and update page properties. The source does not specify the connection method (OAuth or built-in integration).
Set polling and delegation rules
Tell Emma to check the board every 15 minutes. When a task is dragged into the 'Ready for Emma' column, Emma reads the task, delegates it to a specialized bot, and updates the task status and results in Notion.
Daily use: drag to trigger
When you want to start a task, drag its card from the idea column into the 'Ready for Emma' column. Wait for Emma's next poll (up to 15 minutes), after which the task will be processed and results written back.
