Constraints

Use Claude Cowork. Connectors and the Sales plugin are optional; materials can be supplied in a local working folder. Generate and review one brief before optionally creating a skill, scheduling or sharing it. Do not claim to have read inaccessible material.

What they did

Claude Academy demonstrates combining internal account notes with public changes in a one-page brief, followed by skill reuse, scheduling and team sharing.

How it went

This is a tutorial workflow, not a verified customer deployment or sales result. UKnowHow has not executed it.

Worth knowing

The source supports starting with local files. Do not present Salesforce, SEC and LinkedIn as mandatory connectors. Northwind and folder names are examples to adapt to available materials.

Steps

  1. Prepare Cowork and the optional Sales plugin

Use Claude Cowork. The Sales plugin includes /account-research and other skills. Skip it if unavailable through your admin; the basic task does not require it.

  2. Connect tools or set a working folder

Open Customize → Connectors for Salesforce and Google Drive; Apollo is optional. Alternatively, place last-call notes, a saved 10-K and internal account documents in one local folder and point Cowork at it. The brief is written back there. For recurring research, create a Cowork project from the folder. The source does not require dedicated SEC or LinkedIn connectors.

  3. Generate the one-page brief

Select the account folder and paste the source prompt below into Cowork chat. Editorial note: replace Northwind with your target account and include only accessible or supplied materials. Cover the business, last-quarter changes, where you fit and three first-call openers; save the brief to the account folder.

Build a one-page account brief on Northwind. Pull from Salesforce, recent news, the 10-K, their exec LinkedIn posts, and our last call notes. Cover what they do, what's changed in the last quarter, where we fit, and three openers for the first call. Save it to the account folder.
  4. Improve and check the draft

Add a preferred example to match structure and voice and ask Claude to flag uncertainty. Editorial check: verify dates and evidence for recent changes, distinguish similarly named companies and check the output folder. The source does not require a one-week trial.

  5. Create or update the skill

After reviewing the first brief, send the source prompt below in the conversation to create a skill or update /account-research with feedback.

Make what we've done in this task so far into a skill, or edit the /account-research skill with my feedback.
  6. Optionally schedule recurring briefs

Type /schedule or open Scheduled in the Cowork sidebar. The source example runs every Monday at 7am on the next five target accounts and writes each brief under Accounts. Editorial check: supply your target list and confirm folders, timing and permissions.

  7. Optionally share the skill

Open Skills → /account-research → Share in Cowork and select teammates, or the workspace if your admin allows it. The skill carries your ICP, section order and opener style. Editorial check: confirm recipient and document access.
