Auto-generate Meta Ads AI reports for multiple accounts with Claude & Pipeboard MCP via Slack
Input: Meta Ads account ID list + analysis period; Processing: n8n scheduled trigger → split accounts → Claude Agent calls Pipeboard MCP to fetch data and generate report; Output: Markdown report sent to Slack channel
- Who
- Digital marketing agencies or advertisers managing multiple Meta Ads accounts
- You get
- Automatically aggregate multi-account CPL, leads, and spend metrics by period, generate AI insights, and push to Slack
Constraints
Prerequisites: n8n 1.109.2+ instance; Anthropic API key; Pipeboard account and API key; Slack workspace with OAuth2 authorization. Costs: Anthropic API usage by token; Pipeboard per platform pricing; n8n self-hosted or cloud plan separate.
What they did
Template author yves-pipeboard built an n8n workflow: scheduled by Schedule Trigger, reads a preset Meta Ads account ID list, splits into individual items, then uses a Claude Agent with Pipeboard's Meta Ads MCP tool to fetch CPL, leads, and spend data for a specified period, generates a Markdown report, and pushes it to Slack.
How it went
Author states the template suits agencies managing 5+ Meta Ads accounts and saves manual reporting time (basis=author_report). n8n official template library shows views=1846, status=published.
Worth knowing
1) This site has not tested the workflow; reproduction=not_tested. 2) Agent prompt variables $json.analysis_period and $('Split Out').item.json.current_clients must match actual node output field names or expression parsing fails. 3) Pipeboard MCP is a third-party service requiring separate registration and token. 4) Slack node requires prior OAuth2 authorization; channelId is empty in template and must be configured manually. 5) Model version is claude-sonnet-4-20250514; Anthropic may update model IDs, verify availability. 6) Default analysis period is last 7 days, modifiable in the Analysis Period node.

Setup and test checklist
Credentials to connect
- Anthropic Chat Model node: connect Anthropic API credentials.
Configuration to replace
- Source template is n8n public workflow #8414 (~13 nodes). Keep inactive after import; verify triggers, expressions and external API endpoints.
- Sticky-note guidance is informational; replace placeholders with your own accounts, sheet schemas or channel IDs.
Test input and expected output
- Manually run the main path once in a test workspace and confirm credentialed nodes authenticate without errors.
- Drive one synthetic/redacted sample through and check output fields and downstream writes before enabling in production.
Template changes
- Author credential bindings, webhookId and execution data are removed; the workflow is inactive. Nodes, connections and original prompts are preserved. Not run-tested in n8n.
- No business-logic edits; verify keys, quotas and privacy compliance before use.

Steps
Configure trigger and target account list
Create a new workflow in n8n. Add a Schedule Trigger node and set the execution interval (e.g., Mondays at 01:00). Add an Edit Fields (Set) node named "Accounts to be Analyzed". In assignments, create an array field current_clients with values like ["act_123", "act_234"] (act_ prefix plus numbers from https://adsmanager.facebook.com/).
Split accounts and set analysis period
Add a Split Out node with fieldToSplitOut set to current_clients to process each account individually. Connect an Edit Fields (Set) node named "Analysis Period" downstream, creating a string field analysis_period with default value "last 7 days" (changeable to 14 or 30 days).
Configure Anthropic AI model
Add an Anthropic Chat Model node, select model claude-sonnet-4-20250514 (UI shows Claude 4 Sonnet). Bind an anthropicApi credential with API key from https://console.anthropic.com/settings/keys. Connect this node to the Agent node as ai_languageModel.
Configure Pipeboard MCP and Agent analysis instructions
Add an MCP Client Tool node named "Pipeboard Meta Ads MCP", set serverTransport to httpStreamable, endpointUrl to =https://mcp.pipeboard.co/meta-ads-mcp?token=YOUR_TOKEN (replace YOUR_TOKEN with key from https://pipeboard.co/api-keys). Connect as ai_tool to the Agent node. In the Agent node, set promptType to define, enter the user instruction in text, and the system instruction in options.systemMessage.

Configure Slack report delivery
Add a Slack node "Send a message", set select to channel, specify the target channelId. Set text to ={{output}} to receive Agent output. Complete OAuth2 authorization for your Slack workspace. Save and activate the workflow.

This block is the prompt. Ads are never placed here.
You are an n8n workflow setup assistant. The user wants to recreate the "Meta Ads multi-account AI report auto-push to Slack" template. Assist in this order: 1) Confirm the user has n8n 1.109.2+, Anthropic API key, Pipeboard account, and Slack workspace; 2) Guide importing workflow JSON or configuring nodes one by one; 3) Emphasize account ID format ["act_xxx"], Pipeboard token replacement, and Slack channelId setup; 4) Suggest testing with a single account first, verifying Agent output format before batch runs. Do not generate or send any credentials on behalf of the user.
Confirm four prerequisites first, then verify node parameters step by step, finally suggest single-account testing
