Constraints

Describe your need in natural language inside the Meta Muse app. Requires an active Muse account; eBay purchasing may require linked payment and shipping details, depending on Muse's integration scope and regional availability.

What they did

User lauardelean bought an old soundbar at a thrift shop, opened the Meta Muse app, and described the need for a remote in natural language. Muse automatically researched the required model, compared prices on eBay, recommended the cheapest and best option, and placed the order directly—all without the user leaving the Muse app.

How it went

The author reported a "wonderful and easy" experience, with Muse handling all research and completing the order successfully (author_report). No mention of model recognition failures, price comparison errors, or payment issues.

Worth knowing

The source does not explain how Muse identified the specific soundbar model (user description, image recognition, or model database), nor whether eBay account and payment setup were prerequisites. Manual verification of recommended model and seller details is advised before confirming purchase. Muse's e-commerce integration may vary by region; not all users may have the same experience.

Steps

  1. Describe your need in Muse

Open the Meta Muse app and tell it what you need in natural language. For example, explain that you bought an old soundbar at a thrift shop and need a compatible remote. Provide the brand, model, or physical description if you have it, to help Muse narrow the search.

  2. Review recommendation and confirm purchase

Muse will automatically research compatible remote models, compare prices on eBay, and recommend the cheapest reliable option. Review the results (model, price, seller rating), then let Muse complete the order. Verify shipping address and payment details before confirming.
