What they did

On Day 1 in Italy, TBoucher123 used the Grok @bot travel assistant to handle multiple travel needs: tracking a delayed flight, rebooking a train, emailing their host, and booking dinner in Florence. The Bot also built a one-page plan consolidating every ticket and reservation for the full 3-week trip including 2 cruises.

How it went

Author reported: 'I just walk and eat.' (author_report) — indicating travel logistics were handled by the Bot without manual follow-up.

Worth knowing

Source does not clarify whether the Bot directly sent emails/made bookings or only generated drafts; the one-page plan format was not shown; whether Grok Bot's travel assistant is a preset persona or requires manual setup is unspecified. Not tested by this site; effects are author-reported.

Steps

  1. Send travel requests to Grok Bot

Open Grok, activate the travel assistant Bot, and describe your current situation and items to handle—such as a delayed flight, train rebooking, notifying your host, and booking a local restaurant—in natural language.

  2. Receive the consolidated itinerary

Confirm the Bot's one-page plan includes all tickets, reservations, and daily arrangements for the entire trip (e.g., 3 weeks and 2 cruises as described in the source).
