Steps

1. Connect Slack

   Grok Bot: create a new bot for this purpose and connect your Slack workspace to it. Claude: go to Customize > Connectors and connect Slack. If you don't see the option, ask your Workspace Owner to enable it.

2. Paste the prompt and answer setup questions

   Paste the prompt below into the conversation. The agent will interview you one question at a time; answer based on your actual workspace.

   1. Which channels, DMs and people matter most, and what should you ignore?
   
   2. What counts as "needs me"? (questions to me, asks, decisions, who I haven't replied to)
   
   3. How do I want it? (a digest, a DM to myself, a post in a channel, or a "who you didn't reply to" list)
   
   4. What hours and days?
   
   Then show me the plan and run it once so I can check it.
   Every run: open each thread and read it to the end. 
   
   Drop anything where I sent the last message or reacted ✅. 
   
   If nothing is open, say "All clear."

3. Review the plan and run a test

   The agent will generate a plan. Have it run once. Verify it correctly drops threads where you sent the last message or reacted ✅, and check that draft tone matches your preference.

4. Set to run hourly

   Grok Bot: tell the agent to make the plan an hourly routine. Claude: type /schedule and pick Hourly. Each subsequent run will surface drafts for you to send, edit, or skip.
